Dear Colleagues,
2005 TIG Nominations
Its about Technology, Its about Talent, Its about Time
The American Association of State Highway &
Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Technology Implementation Group (TIG) invites
you to nominate ready to use new technologies, which deserve an accelerated
implementation effort in 2005. Find out intriguing things about this
group’s other activities and focus technologies on the TIG website.
There’s more on the website
about project locations, selected technologies, implementation panel
membership, events, and referenced publications.
Technology nominations
for 2005 will be accepted from State and local departments of transportation,
organizational units of AASHTO, and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
Interested producers of innovative technologies are encouraged to work with
eligible submitters who have successfully used these technologies. Also, for
previous submitters of technologies not meeting all criteria in past
submissions, please consider resubmitting your application with modifications
and updates, as necessary.
For guidance on this year’s TIG
5th annual solicitation please refer to TIG Info.
Please use the Request
for Technology Ready for Implementation Form.
It is recommended that you save the document to you computer
and naming the file after the title of the technology before beginning to fill
it out. Entries are due
by Friday, September 9, 2005.
Send your entry electronically to mvitale@aashto.org.
If you have any difficulty with your submission, please contact me at the
telephone or email address below.
Your participation and support is absolutely vital for the
success of this program. It is with your participation that we can
continue to add value and benefits to the nation’s transportation
system. Again, we urge you to nominate ready to implement technologies
for rapid deployment in 2005.
Sincerely,
Marty Vitale on behalf of
