TRB T2 Committee Mid-year Meeting - What's Ahead

Dear T2 Committee Members and Friends -

Please join the TRB Technology Transfer Committee at our mid-year
meeting September 7-8 at Woods Hole, Massachusetts. It will be a
beautiful location for discussion of what's ahead for T2 and the
committee.

September 7 - The first day we'll take a look at some of the strategic
issues in technology transfer, transportation, TRB and the committee,
such as:

Reauthorization - What does SAFETEA-LU mean for research and technology
transfer for states, universities, federal government, locals, T2
professionals?
New technologies for T2 - What are the emerging technologies and their
impacts and implications for transportation T2 (processes, audiences,
etc)?
Crosscutting Issues for TRB Committees
T2 Toolbox 

September 8 - The next day we will roll up our sleeves to discuss where
the T2 Committee fits into what's ahead and how we'll accomplish our
goals. We'll work on action plans for such issues as

Outreach - How do we reach out to TRB committee, T2 professionals and
others?
Research and Programs - How do we weave what's ahead into committee
research and programs?
Qualified, Diverse and Active Committee - Who will be working on what's
ahead on the committee?
2006 Mid-year Meeting at 2006 International T2 Symposium - What does the
committee want to accomplish at our mid-year meeting at the
International Transportation T2 Symposium?

TRB will be posting information on registration, hotels and the agenda
soon.

I'm looking forward to looking at what's ahead with committee members
and friends this fall at Wood's Hole. --- lisa
