Announcement: DES Drinking Water Protection Workshop - May 18th (Thursday)

Below is the announcement for this year's Drinking Water Protection Workshop.  Please register online (see below) and distribute this notice to your local board, co-workers or membership, as appropriate.  Display tables and space will be available free of charge for organizations wishing to display results from drinking water protection projects in progress or recently completed. DRINKING WATER PROTECTION WORKSHOP
DES Drinking Water Source Protection Workshop 2006
May 18th 9:00 am to 3:45 pm
DES Auditorium

For community planners, water supply managers, health officials & consultants

On May 18th the Department of Environmental Services' Source Water Protection Program will hold its fifth annual Drinking Water Source Protection Workshop at 29 Hazen Drive in Concord.    The agenda includes:

	*	Review of state legislation affecting drinking water 
	*	Starting a Local Septic System Management Program
	*	Findings from a Statewide MTBE risk assessment
	*	Site Plan Review Techniques to Protect Water Supply 
	*	Applied Bedrock Mapping Techniques 
	*	Wellhead Protection Plans

The final agenda will be posted on the DES website at <http://www.des.nh.gov/DWSPP/> by March 31st.

Seating is limited and provided on a first come-first serve basis and was filled last year in advance of the workshop date. Registration can be completed at:
